Myriad secure national coverage for Bodyform’s ‘period poverty’ initiative
Wednesday, 29 March 2017
Myriad has helped Bodyform secure national coverage for its commitment to help tackle the UK’s period poverty.
Launched with the aim to provide thousands of underprivileged women and girls with access to free sanitary protection, the three-year pledge will see Bodyform donate 200,000 packs of its Ultra Normal Wing Towels by 2020.
To fulfil this, Bodyform has joined forces with In Kind Direct, an existing charity partner of the brand’s manufacturer, SCA, who together have distributed around £1m worth of essential personal care supplies to worthy causes throughout the UK since 2011.
Through its network of 5,000 charitable organisations around the UK, In Kind Direct will help Bodyform provide essential care for thousands of additional women and girls.
Supporting the announcement with a PR campaign, Myriad secured coverage in titles including: The Huffington Post, Metro, Buzzfeed, Good Housekeeping, So Feminine and Get the Gloss.
