Burns Night 2017

Friday, 03 February 2017

Bringing a touch of The Highlands to Brighton, Myriad PR attended a night of traditional Scottish festivities, feasting on haggis, neeps and tatties, and attempting some ceilidh dancing with our client, Palmer and Harvey, for their annual Burns Night celebration on 21st of January.

Palmer and Harvey, the UK’s number one delivered wholesaler, celebrated the traditional Scottish occasion at The Grand Hotel, Brighton, all in support of welfare charity GroceryAid. GroceryAid helps more than 8,500 people across the whole of the grocery industry with charitable grants and white goods.

Bagpipes were also on the menu with an energetic performance from The Cleilidh Band, following a toast (of whiskey of course!) to Scotland’s renowned poet Robert Burns. The black-tie event was attended by around 220 of Palmer and Harvey’s suppliers and sponsors.

Vanessa Munnings, Deputy Managing Director at Myriad PR, said: “Palmer and Harvey’s Burns Night is always a highlight of our calendar, and this year was no exception! Traditional Scottish fayre and some spectacular dancing, all for a great cause like GroceryAid, what’s not to love!”

Palmer and Harvey is one of the largest privately owned businesses in the UK, delivering to every postcode in the UK and supplying 70% of all UK garage forecourts.
